Is My Little Pillow supposed to be “floppy?” Yes!! We tried various fill levels and toddlers seem to prefer floppy. Think about it, most toddlers seemed to show a preference for floppy stuffed animals or floppy ears or floppy blankies. And we know that limiting lift is important for their developing necks. So you could say My Little Pillow is the answer to, “When is a pillow not supposed act like a pillow?” However we do sell firm, “adult fill” pillows too! What about Washing and Drying My Little Pillow? Wash My Little Pillow in your machine’s gentle or handwash cycle with cold water and just a touch of Ivory Liquid or other mild laundry detergent. Drying My Little Pillow in the sun is recommended, however you can dry it in the dryer on the lowest heat setting and gentlest cycle available until barely damp. Then air dry and fluff. Wash the 100% cotton flannel pillowcase with like fabrics and colors (warm or cold wash). Machine dry on a medium heat setting. Are your shipping and manufacturing facilities clean? There is no smoking and there are no animals of any kind at any of the facilities or sewing studios where our products pass through to ensure that any contamination is limited. We still recommend you wash your new pillowcase prior to use as human hands other than your own have been in contact with the products. Really, relief from the pain associated with ear aches? The properties of natural down are such that they capture body heat causing My Little Pillow to behave like a natural heating bag or warm compress which is such relief when suffering from an ear ache. Where is My Little Pillow made? We were not able to meet customer demand with hand-making My Little Pillow any longer and now work with a wonderful manufacturer here in the US who custom manufactures My Little Pillows to our specifications. What does “Fill Power” mean? "Fill Power" is a term used in the Down Bedding industry that tells the quality or insulating value of the down filling material. The higher the fill power is, the better/stronger the down material is. Fill powers typically range from 500-700. A fill power of 650 is significantly above industry standards. How about the pillow cases? Our pillow cases are hand sewn in Washington state using 100% cotton fabrics and threads. At what age can I give a child My Little Pillow? According to The American Academy of Pediatrics, it is not recommended that you give a child a pillow until the age of 2 (AAP News Vol. 28 No. 3 March 2007, p. 25 © 2007.) However, we recommend purchasing My Little Pillow as a unique baby shower gift or early birthday gift. After all, how many onesies does a baby need and this way My Little Pillow is ready for the child when the child is ready for My Little Pillow. Always use common sense when placing any stuffed animals, blankets or pillows in bed with your child no matter what the age.

Why do you only sell flannel pillow cases? We use 100% cotton flannel fabrics for our pillow cases because they are the easiest to care for, longest lasting and most importantly, cuddliest fabric that we found. It is a plain-weave cloth heavily brushed for softness. Flannel is often used in apparel and sheets, and can be made of cotton or wool though we use only cotton flannel. The brushing process creates insulating air cells that provide more warmth than plain cotton and is also softer than plain cotton. We hope to provide washable silk fabrics in the near future as well. We have no plans to offer any synthetic fabrics at this time.

Are all your products 100% natural? We use 100% natural fibers such as cotton ticking and down including 100% cotton thread for My Little Pillows. The pillow case dyes are not natural (though very cute!) and we will strive to provide naturally dyed fabrics when available. Just in case, we do have synthetic polyester "down-like" fiber fill Little Pillows available with 100% cotton ticking in cases for when down fill isn’t an option.
